Surprised at the rave reviews. Nov 02, 2010

It smells nice when you first squirt it out but as soon as you start to apply it, the smell dissipates and you're left with self-tanner scent. Boo! It's also a little runny for my taste: I prefer a thicker lotion. Also, the bronzers are not anything special and I don't know if I 100% agree with a previous reviewer who claims that they don't turn you orange. I think I am more orange after using this lotion.
Don't get me wrong this lotion is not a complete waste of time or money but I would not pay the full retail price for it ($120 - yikes!) and I'm not sure I would even pay $48-51, which is what it sells for online. I got the 1 oz. tube in a sample pack that came with free shipping so I'm not too upset about it but I probably would be if I had paid $45+ for this lotion.

I tried Vogue for the first time today and I was pleasantly surprised! Designer Skin's Worship Me is my favorite lotion and I usually use that but I wanted to try something new. The bronzers in Vogue left me much darker than I was when I went in and I got a nice deep brown, even color. I like to use lotions with bronzers to even out my color, especially on places like the inside of my forearms that don't tan so well and over tan lines from going to the pool. I love, love, love the smell of Vogue. It smells like a classy perfume and I would definitely feel comfortable going out for a night on the town straight out of the tanning bed. So the color and scent are great... the quantity for the price, not so much. I am going to get a bottle of Vogue to use before special occasions to help me get nice and dark, but I can get 26 ounces of my favorite lotion for the same price as a 7 ounce bottle of Vogue. It also didn't moisturize my skin as well as the lotions I normally use.

Yes this lotion is pricey, but it is the best lotion I've ever bought - and I've had many. You will see IMMEDIATE results, like you just got a mystic tan (not the orange kind). It feels so good, like you're putting silk on your skin and it smells AMAZING.

I bought this online, for about $50. It smells great, like exotic and rich perfume. I did not notice that perfume dissipating like some of the other customers, but I suppose that just depends on your skin chemistry. I give this a 4 out of 5 because my only complaint was that after a 15 minute session, depending on how hot the bed and room got your skin, it would begin to get that musty burnt tan smell. However, if your tanning beds have great fans, than you will not get that smell as much or at all. This product does still retain some of its perfume after tanning and through out the day before you shower. It works just as well as any other high count bronzer like "Paint it Black" or "Born to be Bronze", but it does soften the skin a little more, leave a little more shimmer, and smell (in some ways) a tiny bit more perfume-y.
Basically if you have the extra 15-20 bucks to spend on lotion and want a perfume scent and soft shimmery skin fast, this is right up your alley. If you want to spend a little less and get same results with out all the perfume I would go with Paint it Black or Solid Black by Millenium.
Also another down side, it seems that you do not get very much in these bottles, and I did not experience the "runny" effect like some of the other customers. Mine was thick and seemed to be a lot less than I expected.

This is the best lotion I have ever used and I have tried a lot of them. This is the only lotion that has ever tanned my feet and they were pretty tan after just the first use!! The bronzers are amazing. This is definitely my favorite lotion by far and so worth the money!!
